But first of all, let me go through my day which again started last night in the Cincinnati Masters Tennis semi - final between Nadal & Djokovic. I was really looking forward to a thrilling match but unfortunately it was a rather one sided affair , with Djokovic playing the best tennis I have seen him play in about a year. He won 61,64 and I picked up just over 7 euro to ease the disappoinment of a one sided affair!!!!

I decided to just stick with the two footy matches on sky today, the first being Cardiff's 3 nil home win over Bristol City and Chelsea's 2 nil away win at local rivals Fulham. I managed to pick up some green on both of these matches.

Then it was on to the golf, where Sergio Garcia found himself 3 clear with ten to play and trading @ 1.28 on Betfair. He completely blew up then ( as sergio does ) with three bogies to rule himself out of contention. Then both Ryan Moore and Kevin Stadler both traded odds on before bogeying the last hole to find themselves in a 3 way playoff with Jason Bohn. Ryan Moore won on the 2nd playoff hole where I was all green anyway to finish of a decent week.

Not much going on next week , but will have a look a see if I can find anything!!!

Best of luck to all

I couldn't believe Nadal's price last night @ 1.4 in his quater final match v Tomas Berdych. Although on his day , Berdych is capable of playing lights out , a lot depends on his first serve and flat forehand, a playing style that fits right into Nadal's hands. Nadal started like a house on fire and broke immediately and it stayed on serve then with Nadal taking the first set 64. At this point I took my stake back out of the market and watched Nadal finish the job with a 64,75 victory.

This morning I then went through the football cards and the first match I picked was a lay of Augsburg away to Armeina Bielfield in the Bundesliga 2. Bielfield at home are looking to bounce straight back up after relegation last year but alas as they were beaten 2 -1 and a losing start to the footy.

There wasn't too much damage done as my two other lays both ensured that I came out on top in the footy. The first lay was Wigan at home to Man utd, Wigan were trading at 7 and I had them at 10 so I layed them and Man utd romped to a 5 nil win, although the scoreline flattered them as they were awful for the first hour of the match. My other bet was a lay of Barnsley away at Leicester , a ground which they have lost the last 7 times they visited and today resulted in another 1 nil loss. A long season ahead for them I think.

My strike rate and ROI slipped today , but overall a pleasing day.

Today again started out with some green from last night in the Nadal v Paul Henri Mathieu match. Nadal started 1.4 fav, only because of the injury doubts still hanging over him. Although a very talented player, Mathieu is very suspect mentally ( as I alluded to when he cost me money the other day by beating Karlovic ) and I don't believe he actually thought he would beat Nadal and when he raced into a 3 nil lead, nadal hit 1.7. It was here I entered the market and when Nadal start to show signs of getting into the set I layed of for equal green and went to bed. Nadal won 75,62.

I went through the football cards this morning and entered into 2 matches, a nil all draw between Mypo v Jaro and Rosenborg's emphactic 4 - 1 away victory at Fredrikstad, in the finnish and Norwegian leagues respectfully.

I wasn't able to get involved in Murray's match back in the tennis this evening against French journey man Julien Benneteau, a pity really because Murray a pre 1.04 shot traded at 2.0 before winning in 3 sets.

I managed to pick up some green in Roger Federer's straight sets win over Lleyton Hewitt and Novak Djokovic's victory over Gilles Simon.

I do find that I am still very panic/nervous at times, I am not sure what it is, lack of confidence or afraid of losing a bet/trade but have to try sort out these feeling 's and relax more.

Good luck to all

Moving Along

Daily Profit/Loss = + €26.67
Daily % Increase/Decrease = 10.17%

My first green of the day actually came in late last night ( after 12 so included in today's roundup ) and it was in Serena William's comfortable straight sets win over Yaraslava Shvedova and it was just one trade done to gain green on Serena with no loss on Shvedova and left it at that.

I then decided to trade the Federer v Ferrer match after Fed lost the first set 63. He was trading @ 1.9 at this stage so I knew if he could get ahead in the 2nd set his price would collapse. It duly did and I greened up as Fed went on to win in 3 sets after being a break down in the 3rd. I have to say he was far from convincing and that backhand looked awful at times.

I also picked up some green on the LLeyton Hewitt match. I backed him prematch @ 1.9 as I thought he was a great price. I thought I wouldn't be able to trade this match otherwise I would have just left my small back run, but I was able to trade it and was happy with my performance ( for a change ) and had green on both by the time it came to a 3rd set which Hewitt took in the end.

The outstanding .19 cent balance comes from Nadal v Seppi last night when I had a position that I closed as near to entry point as I could when the rain interrupted play.

Best of luck to all

A Good Day Profit Wise..........................................

But a few issues or maybe warning signs. Let me give today's figures and a summary of my trading first though.

Daily Profit/Loss = + 12.36 euro, a 4.94% increase.
Live ROI = 7.27%
Live Strike Rate = 75%.

My first bet of the day was a back of Ivo Karlovic to beat Paul Henri Mathieu at 1.5. I thought this was a decent bet for the simple reason of Ivo's record in this tournie is good , the balls are flying fast and Mathieu's awful mental ability on the big points. But not today, he faced one break point , which was also a set point , he saved it a took the tie break. Mathieu then finally got his 1st break point which was a match point and my money was done.

I then went straight to the Stepanek v Safin match and managed to trade for 7.62 euro green. I also layed Kim Cljisters at 1.3 when she took the first set against Azarenka and managed to get some green in a match kim eventually won in 3 sets.

I also backed Liverpool tonight to beat Stoke , which they did 4 nil, and thought 1.32 was a good price.

Now you may ask what my problem is what a 4.96% increase to my bank , which of course I would be delighted with each day, but I wasn't happy that I seemed to drift into so many markets especially with my fragile confidence at the moment. I don't think mentally I took the karlovic loss well, and was so eager to post a profit here that things could have went wrong very quick. There was also some great opportunities tonight that I let go because again I was afraid of losing money. A lot of this game is in your head and I need to sort mine out soon before i go completely bust.

Anyway until tomorrow
Paul

Getting Annoyed Now

My money still hasn't hit my Betfair Account, which means its looking like another day before the challenge can start, because if its not usually there before 12 O'clock it won't be there at all today.

Its annoying because I went through all the tennis matches last night and had my bet picked , ah well.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get this started

Delayed Start

A few things came up over the weekend which has delayed the start of my blog and has also dented the available funds I had to deposit into betfair.

I shall now be only lodging 250 euro but I will still try to aim for 2% per bet/trade. I appreciate its going to be painfully slow at the start but somehow I have to get it in to my head to look at the bigger picture.

I am hoping now that tomorrow will be the start of ultimately building up a decent bank , so will update aagin tomorrow with the current state of play!!!

Thanks and Regards
